Fly By

Our class location was a perfect spot to see part of the 100 for 100 RAF celebration. We enjoyed the company of numeous other spectators on the park to see the Red Arrows and other aircraft that split off to fly over Windsor Castle.

We followed up on this treat by mapping the route of the aircraft, to calculate the distance they had travelled; working out the duration of their flight, using the published timetable - to calculate the speed of the aircraft. We marvelled at the skill of the pilots and also the skill of the parent who managed to take photos looking up into the sun and clicking at the right moment!
